How to Fish in ATLYSS

Fishing was added in the latest ATLYSS update, but the game doesn’t tell you how to start. If you found a fishing pond but can’t fish yet, here’s how to actually unlock it and start reeling in.
Go to the Right Portal
From the Sanctum spawn point, turn around and you’ll see three portals.
Take the rightmost portal to reach the fishing area. It leads to a dock with a small pool and a new NPC.
Talk to the Rat Merchant
At the dock, find the fishing merchant NPC.
Talk to him and buy a fishing rod. That’s all you need; no quest or skill tree.
Equip and Use the Rod
Put the fishing rod into one of your quick item slots.
Walk up to a fishing spot, then press the button for that slot (e.g. F) to start fishing.
There’s no minigame yet. Just press the button and wait.

Fishing in ATLYSS is simple once you find the right portal. There’s no quest or tutorial, so it’s easy to miss. Just grab a rod from the rat, walk up to any pond, and cast.
Hopefully, a real fishing minigame gets added later. For now, it’s press button, get fish.
