Deltarune Chapter 2 Recruits List

Written by Aarav Agarwal

If you want to fully recruit every enemy in Deltarune Chapter 2, you’ll need to spare a specific number of each enemy type. Just defeating them won’t cut it... in fact, doing that will lock you out of recruiting them forever.

You can check your progress at any SAVE point by selecting “Recruits.” Every enemy you’ve spared enough times will start hanging out around Castle Town. You’ll also get some bonuses depending on how many you’ve got by the end.

How Recruiting Works in Chapter 2

Only sparing counts

To recruit an enemy, you must spare enough of that type. If you defeat any enemy violently, they become “LOST” and can never be recruited again on that file.

What doesn’t count

Bosses can’t be recruited. Neither can Pipis. Also, fights in the Party Dojo won’t affect your recruit status.

What happens if you recruit everyone

If you’ve spared every recruitable enemy in the Cyber World, you get extra dialogue at the end of the chapter, and a full scene in Castle Town with King and Queen. Nubert also shows up... which is obviously the real goal here.

You’ll also get the max HP bonus for the GIGA Queen battle mecha, which is based on the number of recruits you’ve got. Each one adds 5 HP to your total.

Final Blurb

If you're going for a full Castle Town, you’ll need to be careful from the start of Chapter 2. One mistake can wipe out an entire recruit type.

The game doesn’t warn you until it’s too late, and a single misclick can lock out dialogue, scenes, and even HP bonuses in the final fight.

Sparing everything also affects Queen’s tone at the end, adds special events, and lets Nubert join your town... which is really the only reason that matters.

FAQ

Q: How do I check which enemies I’ve recruited in Chapter 2?

At any SAVE point, select “Recruits.” It will show how many of each enemy you’ve spared and how many are needed.

Q: Can I recruit bosses like Berdly or Queen?

No, bosses can’t be recruited. Only standard enemy types can.

Q: What happens if I kill just one enemy instead of sparing it?

That entire enemy type becomes LOST and can never be recruited. Even if you recruited some already, they’ll disappear from Castle Town.

Q: Do I need Mauswheel for full recruit completion?

Technically, no. Due to a bug, Mauswheel isn’t required for the full “recruited everyone” event.

Q: What do recruits add to the Thrash Machine?

Each one adds 5 HP to the machine’s max health for the GIGA Queen fight. Hacker and Starwalker can also add HP if you meet their conditions.
