Looking to zap bugs and bots with something a little more high-tech? Here's a full list of every energy weapon currently in Helldivers 2, organized in alphabetical order for easy browsing.

All Energy Weapons

These weapons all fall under the energy category, meaning no reloading, heat-based cooldowns, or unique ammo types. Some are built for swarms, others for armor, and one of them even tries to be a shotgun.

ARC-12 Blitzer

  • Unlimited ammo

  • Arc-based electric damage

  • Slower fire rate

  • Briefly stuns targets

This one is a solid crowd-control option. Its arcs bounce between enemies and it never runs out of ammo, but it's slow between shots, so bring a quick secondary just in case.

LAS-16 Sickle

  • Heat-based

  • No recoil

  • Very high fire rate

  • Light armor penetration

Basically a laser version of the AR-23. It's great for mowing down light enemies, but melts down fast if you don’t manage the heat. No ammo needed, though, so it’s always ready.

LAS-5 Scythe

  • Precision beam

  • Heat-based

  • Unlimited ammo

  • Weak to armor

A low-damage laser beam with pinpoint accuracy. It’s not made for tanky enemies, but for patrols or bug scouts, it holds its own.

LAS-7 Dagger

  • Energy sidearm

  • Beam weapon

  • Heat-based

  • Unlimited ammo

The only energy pistol in the game. Light damage, but infinite ammo and great accuracy make it a good backup if your main weapon is cooling down or empty.

PLAS-1 Scorcher

  • Explosive rounds

  • Semi-auto precision

  • Light armor penetration

  • Small magazine

This one’s more of a marksman rifle, but with plasma explosions. It's great for armored targets and precision kills, just be ready to reload often.

PLAS-101 Purifier

  • Explosive

  • Charge-based

  • Medium armor penetration

  • Small mag, solid power

The newest and strongest energy weapon for armored enemies. It’s the only one with medium armor penetration, making it your best bet for high-difficulty missions with tougher foes.

SG-8P Punisher Plasma

  • Plasma shotgun

  • Explosive rounds

  • Slow, small mag

  • Not unlimited

More boom than beam. It's AoE focused but suffers from reload time and poor damage scaling. Still fun, but not ideal unless you love chaos.

Final Blurb

Energy weapons in Helldivers 2 are a tradeoff. You get infinite ammo or explosive firepower, but usually give up armor penetration or reload speed. Whether you're looking for constant beams, big booms, or electric arcs, there's an option for every playstyle as long as you don’t forget your support weapon when things get spicy.

FAQ

Q: Which energy weapon has medium armor penetration?

Only the PLAS-101 Purifier currently has medium armor penetration.

Q: Are all energy weapons unlimited ammo?

Most are, but not all. The SG-8P Punisher Plasma has a limited magazine and must be reloaded.

Q: Which energy weapon is best for swarms?

The ARC-12 Blitzer or LAS-16 Sickle are your best bets for clearing groups.

Q: Which one’s the best all-around?

The LAS-16 Sickle is great for general use, while the PLAS-101 Purifier dominates in harder missions.
