PEAK Bookworm Badge Achievement Guide
The Bookworm Badge in PEAK unlocks after collecting all 8 of Scoutmaster Myre’s journals, but you won’t see a single one until certain conditions are met.
Note: These entries don’t spawn on your first climb.
Unlock Ascent Difficulty First
To even begin the Bookworm hunt, you need to finish one full run of PEAK.
That unlocks the Ascent difficulty. Once that happens, journal pages can begin appearing on new island resets... but not before.
Wait for a New Island Reset
PEAK’s island resets roughly every 24 hours.
Journal entries only start appearing after the reset happens while you’re playing in Ascent mode. If you’re still in your original world, they won’t spawn.
Once the island is fresh, journals can start showing up.
Where the Journals Show Up
Journals usually appear near campfires in early areas.
The first scroll is most often found at the campfire at the top of the Shore zone, but later ones can be in any biome.
You can find up to four journal entries per island reset. After that, no more will appear until the next reset.
Scroll Farming Trick
Right now, there’s a bug you can use.
If you reach a journal during an Ascent run, open it, then leave and create a new run on the same difficulty, the same scroll location can show a different journal entry. This only works once per reset and may get patched.
Tips for Faster Completion
Only four journals spawn per reset, so you’ll need at least two resets to get all eight.
They are always called “Scrolls” in-game, not “journals.”
Not all scrolls are guaranteed to be at a campfire, but that’s the most common place to look.
You don’t need to read them in any specific order.
After collecting all 8, the Bookworm Badge unlocks and adds a cosmetic reward to your sash screen.
