REPO Boltzap Weapon Guide

The Boltzap is one of three new weapons added in the latest REPO update. It’s affordable, easy to use, and... not exactly deadly. Here’s how it works and when to actually bother buying it.
How the Boltzap Works
Charges: 12 shots
Ammo Cost: 1 crystal charge for every 4 bullets
Damage: 2 per shot
Bonus Effect: Stuns enemies for a few seconds
It’s built for stunning, not killing. You zap enemies to hold them still long enough to throw them into pits. That’s the entire purpose.
When the Boltzap Is Useful
Great when you have pits nearby
Bad if no pits or enemies that can escape pits (Ropes, Headmen, etc.)
Best Targets: Small to medium enemies near hazards
Cost: 14,000 to 18,000 — cheap, but not a must-buy
When Not to Use It
Large enemies like Trudges are too tanky. Even stunned, they’re hard to deal with.
Flying enemies or anything that ignores pits will waste your ammo.
No pits nearby? The weapon is almost useless. You’ll do 2 damage a shot... which might as well be zero.
Pro Tip — Feathering
If you’re using the Boltzap and trying to manage the new overcharge mechanic (where holding enemies too long makes you explode for 20 damage):
Stun with Boltzap
Quick grab and throw — don’t hold enemies too long
Repeat if needed without filling the overcharge meter
Final Blurb
The Boltzap is cheap and funny to use but definitely situational. If you don’t have pits or weak enemies nearby, it’s just a fancy flashlight. Use it when the map gives you the right setup... otherwise save your cash for something that actually hurts things.
