How to Build a House in Farming Simulator 25

In Farming Simulator 25 you can choose from multiple styles of structures like homes and garages and build them on your farm. Here’s a simple guide to constructing a house in the game, including selecting materials, setting up, and managing costs:

Step 1: Access the Build Menu

To start building a house, enter the build mode. This’ll brings up the build menu where you can select from categories like sheds, silos, animal buildings, and the “Constructibles” section for houses and other custom buildings.

Step 2: Select and Place Your House

  1. Navigate to Constructibles: In the build menu, go to the Constructibles section to view all available houses and garages.

  2. Choose a Building Style: Select a building, like a farmhouse or a log cabin. Hover over each option to view the materials required for construction.

  3. Place Your Building Site: Place your chosen house on the map. You’ll see an outline of the construction site, showing where you’ll need to deliver materials.

Tip: Each building has different requirements, so double-check what resources you need before placing the structure.

Step 3: Gather Required Materials

Once the construction site is in place the game will display a list of required materials in the bottom right of your screen. Common materials for a house include wood beams, long planks, and cement. There are two ways to obtain these:

  1. Produce Materials Yourself: You can build or use sawmills, cement factories, or carpentry to make the items required. This method saves costs but requires a lot more effort and setup.

  2. Purchase Materials: Buy materials directly from the in-game warehouse which has items like wood beams, cement bags, and prefabricated walls. This option is faster but may cost more.

Step 4: Deliver Materials to the Site

  1. Transporting Materials: Use a forklift or a trailer to move pallets of materials to the construction site.

  2. Unload Materials at the Site: Drive to the building location and place materials within the marked zones. The game will automatically use these resources to progress through the build.

Step 5: Monitor Construction Progress

As materials are added the construction site will evolve. Again, each phase requires specific materials so check the requirements periodically. Sometimes you may need additional items like prefabricated walls or roofing materials for the next stage.

Step 6: Final Touches and Completion

Once all materials are delivered and used the building will be complete. Some houses include furniture, lighting, and even functional doors. You can enter and explore your new home or use it as a sleep trigger. However, keep this in mind:

  • Resale Value: If you choose to sell the building you will only receive half of the original site placement cost, not the value of added materials. Building structures is primarily for functionality and aesthetics, not for any sort of resale profit.

Tips for Building

  • Plan Material Transport: Keep track of material requirements and plan transport accordingly to save time.

  • Use the Warehouse if you need materials quickly though this can increase costs.

  • Manage Expenses: Building a house can be costly, especially if purchasing all materials. If you want to save, consider setting up production facilities.

Best of lucky my farming (and building) friends!
