The GPS function in Farming Simulator 25 is a super helpful for precise fieldwork regardless of what platform you play on. Here’s a simple guide to setting up and using GPS:

Steps to Turn On and Use GPS

Go to Your Field: Start by positioning your vehicle on the field you want to work on. This ensures GPS can calculate the best path for your work.
Access the GPS Setting:
- Hold Down the "Hire Worker" Button: The button you typically use to hire a worker also lets you switch to GPS mode.
  - Xbox: Hold the B button
  - PlayStation: Hold the Circle button
  - PC: Hold the H key
Switch to Steering Assist:
- When you hold the hire worker button, a menu appears at the top of the screen showing two options: AI Worker and Steering Assist.
- Select Steering Assist to enable GPS mode, which will allow you to activate and deactivate GPS using the same button you normally use to hire a worker.
Set GPS Parameters:
- Working Width: The GPS will auto-calculate your vehicle’s working width.
- Headlands: Choose how many headland passes (the perimeter of your field) you want the GPS to complete.
- Work Direction: By default, it’s set to "Automatic," but you can adjust the angle to follow specific patterns, such as diagonal lines, if preferred.
- Line Visibility: Decide if you want the guidance lines visible while working.
Confirm and Start:
- Press OK to lock in your settings. If you skip this step, the GPS setup will cancel and revert to your previous settings.

Activating and Deactivating GPS

Activate GPS: Once you’re ready to start, press the “hire worker” button (e.g., B on Xbox, Circle on PlayStation, H on PC) again to turn on GPS. You’ll notice the main line on the field turns green, and the GPS lines extend across the field.
Deactivate GPS: You can deactivate GPS by pressing the same button again, turning your steering wheel, or using the joystick on a controller. GPS will also auto-deactivate when you reach the end of a set line, making it easy to line up for the next pass.

Tips for Smooth GPS Operation

Align for Each Pass: At the end of each row, GPS will disengage. Simply line up with the next row and re-engage GPS to continue.
Audio Cue: Listen for a quiet sound that signals GPS activation, helping you confirm it’s turned on.
