How to Heal in Caves of Qud
Healing is super important in Caves of Qud to stay alive. Here are the best ways to heal:
Method 1: Rest to Heal
Find a safe spot where no enemies are around.
Press NumPad 5 (or your rest key) to wait and heal over time.
If you hold the key, you’ll rest for several turns in a row.
This works only if you’re not bleeding, poisoned, or starving.
Method 2: Use Healing Injectors
Open your inventory (press "i") and find a healing injector.
Equip it or use it directly from your inventory.
The injector will heal you almost instantly.
Method 3: Rest in a Safe Zone
Find a Respite Zone, usually in towns or safe areas.
Rest in this area without worrying about being interrupted.
Method 4: Eat Food
Open your inventory and eat food, like a meal or raw ingredients.
Meals cooked at campfires can give extra healing and helpful buffs, depending on what you cook.
Method 5: Use Special Abilities
Some mutations, like Regeneration, can heal you automatically over time.
Activate abilities like Healing Touch from the mutation menu (press "a") if you have them.
Tips for Healing
Don’t rest in dangerous areas. If enemies find you, they will stop your healing.
Bring healing items like injectors or salves for emergencies.
Check for harmful effects like bleeding or poison, as they can stop or slow healing.
Healing smartly will keep you alive longer and ready for the dangers of Caves of Qud.
