Lies of P Lumacchio Boss Fight Guide (Overture DLC)
Written by Andrew Hammel
Lumacchio is one of the last major bosses in the Overture DLC. He talks a lot about hating violence... right before trying to kill you with it..? The good news is, he’s very weak to fire, backstabs, and a few well-timed throws.

Phase One: Land Backstabs When He Slows Down
Use Fast Weapons or Spear Builds
Light builds like the Acid Crystal Spear work well here. Lumacchio leaves himself open often during phase one. Just wait for him to pause after an attack, then roll behind him for an easy backstab.
He also has a red glowing charge move that’s easy to parry. Follow it up with another backstab for good damage.
If he raises his umbrella, that’s your cue to circle around and punish again.
Throw Shot Puts When His HP Flashes
When his health bar starts flashing white, back away and throw a Shot Put. It has high stagger power and can interrupt him safely from a distance.
Phase Two: Fire Is the Key
Swap to Fire-Based Damage
In phase two, Lumacchio becomes vulnerable to fire. Use weapons like the Salamander Dagger or the Flameberge Legion Arm to burn through his health.
He starts dealing decay damage now too, so keep Purification Ampules ready to clear the effect.
Use Puppet String or Aegis to Stay Safe
Puppet String is great for quick damage and resets. But if you want a safer option, bring Aegis to block his stronger swings without taking full damage.
Keep a few Repair Tools on hand just in case. He can drag the fight out with his wide area attacks if you let your guard down.
Final Choice: Punish or Leave
After the fight, Lumacchio begs for his life. If you want to know what to pick, check out our full guide on whether to Punish or Leave Lumacchio.

Final Blurb
Lumacchio pretends to hate violence but brings plenty of it. Backstabs and fire tear him apart, and the Shot Put makes him flinch just enough to stay in control.
The real challenge is dealing with his guilt trip afterward.
