The Alters: How to Get Rid of & Cure Radiation

To get rid of & cure radiation in The Alters, you need to stay inside the base with the radiation barrier turned on. Over time, Jan and other characters will slowly recover as long as the barrier is working.
Use the Radiation Barrier
Go to the Machinery Room in your base.
On the right side of the room, you’ll find the radiation barrier control panel. This system keeps everyone inside safe and helps remove radiation poisoning over time.
Keep Filters Maintained
The barrier only works if a radiation filter is installed.
Filters wear out, so watch the gauge. When it reaches 0 percent, the filter must be replaced.
You can craft new filters at the Workshop for 10 Metals and 40 Organics.
If resources are low, you can leave the barrier off for a bit, but everyone inside will start taking radiation damage fast.
How to Heal Radiation on Jan
If Jan gets exposed while outside, just bring him back to the base.
Let him stay inside with the barrier running. He will slowly recover during the day and while sleeping at night.
Talking to Alters, crafting, or working indoors will not stop recovery as long as the barrier stays active.
